Hi mate, Once again I am here with a tutorial on setting up your domain with the blogger. Many of them have messaged me and asked on this, so I finally decided to write a guide on this topic. We all know the benefits of adding custom domain on our blog, so I am not discussing this and directly getting on this topic. If you want to know the benefits please do comment below, will update on this also.

Here I will discuss to setup domain with Godaddy, because Godaddy is one of the most popular domain seller and I hope all have your domain on Godaddy only. (If you have your domain on other domain registrar then leave a comment will update on this also).

Lets take an example that you have purchased a domain (www.abc.com) now you want to configure this with your domain (whose URL may be http://yourblogname.blogspot.com).

1. Goto to your blog Dashboard and browse to Setting section, there you will get the Publishing Tab, Click on +Add custom domain name.

2.After that you will get the Box to enter your domain name, Put your domain name in it and click on SAVE.

Now, You can see the Two thing I have highlighted on the image, Copy that
www - ghs.google.com
7ukjxqdoxfq4 - gv-aaqh5epdwhf5jm.dv.googlehosted.com
On the notepad. (This is very Important part).

4. Now Log Into your Godaddy account and click on Domains options. Over there browse to DNS Manager, (You will get DNS Manager at top of your domain panel). It will get opened in a new page, over there click on EDIT ZONE option.

5. On the DNS Manager you will have something look like this.

6. Now See the Second Box over there which name as CNAME (Alias) , Edit any one of there with previous one that you have saved on NotePad (see above step 3). Just Insert WWW on the HOST section and ghs.google.com on Points To. Same As put 7ukjxqdoxfq4 on Host and gv-aaqh5epdwhf5jm.dv.googlehosted.com on Points To. (See the Image below).

Now That you have done with your Top-level Domain. Now we have to set up our naked domain i.e. (abc.com). Remember naked domains means there is now WWW in front of your domain. Many of the time your users visits your site with your naked domain. And if you haven't configure your naked domain properly then you lose huge amount of Traffic to your blog.

8. To setup your Naked domain properly, click on the edit link (see above image on step 7).
You will again have the same thing as you have in step 2. (See image below)

9. Now again Goto your Godaddy doamin panel and again open DNS Manager (edit page). There you will get the A (Host) tab. (See image on Step 5, upper box)
Over there Click on the QUICK EDIT option and add the following Google IP's as shown on the below image.

216.239.34.21
216.239.36.21

Now Again back to blogger, steps where we have lefted at steps 8. Now there Click on Save Option. That all you are done.

After you Saved, till will take approx 1 hours to 24 Hours to get all done, as DNS have to get refreshed. After 24 Hours check your site, all is done. Your Domain is also working fine with WWW and without WWW (naked domain).
